Akshay is originally from Mumbai, India. After graduating from Saraswati College of Engineering in 2017, he waited 2 years while his family could afford to send him to Musicians Institute, Los Angeles.

 

While he was waiting...

• He taught Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Theory and Percussion to 1400 children ages 6 to 25 at Furtados School of Music.

• He hosted Recitals for Vishwajyot High School, Kharghar, Billabong International Highschool, Thane, and Limed Apple Music Classes, Koperkhairane and Sonata Music Academy, Vashi.

• He appeared on INDIA'S LARGEST ENGLISH SINGING REALITY TV SHOW - THE STAGE 3 (Top 10), which was hosted by Shibani Dandekar and judged by Vishal Dadlani, Ehsaan Noorani, Monica Dogra and Devraj Sanyal. 

• He also toured the entire country playing concerts and releasing albums with his BAND - FERRY TALES which made headlines in THE ROLLINGSTONE INDIA MAGAZINE and The Indian Music Diaries. They have appeared on TV on VH1 MUSIC DIARIES and played venues like HARD ROCK CAFE, Mumbai and HIGH SPIRITS, Pune. They also competed in, won and judged competitions in colleges like

  • Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Goa, South Indian Education Society, Nerul, St. Xaviers College, Mumbai, KJ Somaiya College, Mumbai and Pillai College of Engineering, Panvel to name a few.​

 

He is the recipient of the Takamine Acoustic Guitar Scholarship which he won ​while graduating from Musicians Institute, Los Angeles, under the Guitar Associate of Arts Program with an Emphasis on the Independent Artist Program.

In 2022, Akshay is trying to get to 1 Million Subscribers on Youtube. To achieve this, he is going to release a music video every month. He is working on 8 albums at the moment and he'll be releasing singles on special occasions and holidays throughout the year. If things go as planned, he should have 28 videos out on his Youtube Channel by the end of 2022. Simultaneously, he is planning to go on tour across the US and India in 2023.
